HOW IT STARTED
Led by Jonathan Price, Light to Dark aims to bring you an outstanding cup of coffee with unwavering great flavor and the social and environmental responsibility you can feel good about.
The story of Light to Dark Coffee began when two men met at a community maker’s space both burning the midnight oil. One, an adventurer, had over 15 years of experience traveling the world and making it a better place through non-profit work. The other, a master roaster, had over 15 years of experience traveling to coffee farms, making them better, and roasting the world’s finest coffee beans. The adventurer spoke of traveling to over almost 100 countries where he helped others and found his favorite coffee while trekking through waterfalls, up mountains, and through jungle terrain. They devised a plan to bring these hard-to-source coffee beans back home and roast them. The master roaster said, “You bring me the coffee beans and I’ll roast them!” Six months later they met again, this time the adventurer had ethically sourced, ultra-fair trade, high elevation, shade grown, single origin green coffee beans ready to roast. The exquisite product of their coffee passion is the rare and delicious coffee Light to Dark offers.
